To request an Application for an Outward Bound course: 

1. Choose a Course

If you need help choosing a course

If you know which course you want

• Call an Admissions Advisor at (toll-free) 866-467-7651 between 8-5 MST or
• Or use the Application Request Form below to set up an appointment with an Admissions Advisor to start your Application. 

Once you have completed this enrollment form, an Outward Bound Admissions Advisor will contact you. 

2. Connect with us by phone

All Application Requests must take place by phone. You can call us or use the Application Request Form and we will call you but either way all applicants must complete our Prescreen Questionnaire by phone, pay the $100 non-refundable Application Fee and a $400 deposit. If the course starts in less than 60 days the Application Fee, the full Tuition and the $100 Transportation Fee is due. 

3. Make your Payment

To reserve your spot we require payment.

• More than 60 days from start date - $100 non-refundable Application Fee and a $400 Tuition Deposit
• 60 Days or less - $100 non refundable Application Fee, Full tuition and $100 Transportation Fee
• Scholarship Applicants 21 days or more from course - $100 Application Fee.
• You must submit your complete Scholarship Application Packet 48 hours from Applying. 
• Your Application Fee is refundable only if your award is smaller than what you requested AND you formally decline your award offer prior to the assigned due date. 
• If you neglect to either to accept or decline your offer in time we will keep your Application Fee.
• Scholarships are not available for courses that start in less than 21 days. 

4. Complete our Prescreen Questionnaire

All Applicants must complete a 20-22 question Prescreen Questionnaire by phone.  The questionnaire allows us to collect basic information about your physical and behavioral history.  We will use this information to determine whether your Application requires any Supplemental Questionnaires. 

5. Receive your Application Packet

Upon completion of the 4 steps above, we will send you an email with links to Application Instructions, all the Course Information, your Application Packet and any assigned Supplemental Questionnaires. 

It will also have the contact Information for your Course Advisor and the due date assigned to your Application.  Regardless of the course start date, Your Application will be due two weeks from the Application (or in as little as 24 hours if you are applying for a course that starts in less than 30 days).
