Outward Bound Wilderness is the nation’s leading, nonprofit
adventure-education organization. We offer an array of exhilarating
course activities in many of
the beautiful and pristine wilderness areas throughout the
United States and internationally. Our courses emphasize personal
growth through hands-on experience and challenges. Students
of all ages develop self-reliance,
responsibility, teamwork, confidence and compassion, as well
as environmental and community stewardship.
It is in the wilderness that you begin to understand who
you really are. We take you to wild places, to quiet the urban
noise, to feel humbled by the stunning remoteness, to suppress
the distractions of contemporary life, to draw inspiration
from breathtaking natural beauty, and to fulfill the innate
desire we have to know who we truly are.
There are few experiences like ascending a steep snow slope,
running the rapids on an untamed river, kayaking through turquoise
waters, or backpacking though seemingly untouched forests.
The rewards that come with these adventures make the challenges
of an Outward Bound Wilderness course worthwhile. Completing
an Outward Bound Wilderness course will leave you with a true
sense of accomplishment and pride.
With over 40 years of experience, Outward Bound Wilderness
has long been a pioneer of wilderness education in the United
States and around the world. Learn more about the history
