Q: What day on your Outward Bound course was your favorite? Well I had fun everyday enjoying something that you cant get down here in Waveland.. I would have to say when we rock climbed a side of a mountain.
Q: What moment on your Outward Bound course are you most proud of? The most part I was proud of during the trip was when I reached the top of a mountain. I couldn’t believe that we made it. It was such a good feeling knowing that I reached my goal standing 13,646 feet high on top the mountain.
Q: What is the funniest thing that happened on course? It's really hard but there was this time when Parker was head chief for day and everything was almost done cooking and we were all starving and then the pot with the beans had spilled over the place. And more thing i thought was really fun was the whole time we were there, there was not an animal in site but when we got to the top of the mountain there was just a medium size bird limping across while we reached the peak of the mountain.
Q: How did you react when you found out you were
going on an Outward Bound course filmed by The Real World?
I was so surprised.. it was one of the best feelings i had
since the storm.(Katrina)
Q: What’s it like to have camera’s filming
your every move?
It was a little stressful but you
got use to it all the time. They would get right in your face
and I know your not supposed to look at them but it was a
little hard.
Q: What was most challenging about your Outward Bound
course? How did you overcome it?
It would be the
altitude up there. I'm only 25 feet above sea level at my
house and going further and further up the mountain was a
little hard. I just had to keep drinking lots of water and
rest time to time.
Q: What would you say to another student getting ready
to go on an Outward Bound course?
You should definitely do it if you get a chance. Its a great
experienced and if I could Iwould do it all over again. You
get to see what your made of and once you have accomplished
something like this experience than you wonder how far and
what all can you do.
Q: Who was your favorite Outward Bound intern (a.k.a. Real
World Roommate) and why?
My favorite roommate on
the real world would have to be Alex. He was a real cool guy
and was funny. Sitting around the camp fire he would always
have something good to say and just made everything interesting.
And also would have to say also would be Colie because she
was really fun to hang around with and she knew what we went
through as well. But just hanging around her made a smile
on my face.
Q: What was the most important thing you learned on
your Outward Bound course and how do you apply it to your
life?
To not give up on nothing I do and I’ll
be able to achieve it. And if I’m in a mountain I’ll
be able to survive and locate where I am at. I know how to
cook out there and but up with the weather.
Q: What was your favorite meal?
I think it
would have to be the beef jerky & cheese and crackers.
Q: What was the coolest thing you saw while on course
in Colorado?
I would have to say the scenery. Everything
was so peaceful and pretty.
Q: How is your life different now that you have gone
on an Outward Bound course?
It makes think that I
could do a lot more than I can and I would like to go on more
future outward bound courses.
Q: Have you kept in touch with any of your coursemates?
Not really because i left my jacket up in Denver with all
my e-mails and phone #. But I have seen Parker at the CPR
FEST 10 in the south coast's coliseum. And I have seen Ty
at a football game he played against us.
Q: Is there anything else you want to share with us?
We need a get together!!!
