Each year, Outward Bound offers a variety of Invitational Expeditions. Designed for adults, Invitational Expeditions are short Outward Bound courses with a special purpose: to promote the understanding of the mission and programs of Outward Bound, to provide participants with a memorable Outward Bound adventure and to build support for the work of the organization. Outward Bound hopes that Invitational participants come away with a vivid and direct understanding of our unique approach to teaching and learning, as well as have the chance to discuss and learn how Outward Bound is using this approach to transform the lives of individuals, organizational teams and our country’s public schools. Each participant is also asked to join True North Crew. Contributors play a leading role in ensuring the continued excellence of Outward Bound and its programs. We ask that participants consider a contribution of $1,000 or more in the year that the Invitational is delivered. Through an Outward Bound Invitational, donors get to truly experience Outward Bound while growing in personal ways and contributing in financial ways. If you are interested in one of these opportunities or know someone who might be, please read on for more information!
