ranges in the world, stretch 3,000 miles from Alaska to New Mexico.
They have provided the inspiration for legend and have had a profound
influence on the development of the continental United States.
Home to 54 14,000 foot peaks and hundreds over 13,000
feet — more than any other state — Colorado is known worldwide
for its mountains. The peaks (flat-topped, steep, jagged, or gentle)
vary as widely as the wildlife and flower-filled meadows and are
as plentiful as the waterfalls and 100-mile views. It is in and
around these majestic mountains that your Outward Bound Wilderness
course will take place.
