What's the most rewarding aspect of working for Outward Bound? I have met exceptional people while working for Outward Bound and have had the opportunity to take risks in a very supportive and compassionate environment.
Tell us about a favorite conversation with a potential student: I spoke with a woman in her fifties who was very excited about the possibility of taking an Outward Bound course. Although she had fears around doing the course, she embraced her fear and went on her course with an open heart and mind. She called me when she returned from her course and thanked me for the several conversations we had before she embarked on her adventure. It was a life changing experience for her.
Tell us about a recent accomplishment or adventure: Last May I went on a two week Colorado Outward Bound course in Utah. It was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. I traveled in pristine wilderness, helped build a strong supportive team and overcame many personal fears.
What's a little known fact about you? I have two little Basenji puppies named Phoebe and Gus. I love fly fishing and gardening.
